The Kaduna State Government has been confirmed as the Official Host Government for the North-West Zonal Stages of the MPS Media Poetry Challenge 2026 – Arewa Edition, scheduled to take place in Kaduna State.
The partnership marks an important milestone in the competition’s commitment to youth empowerment, cultural expression, peacebuilding and the development of creative talent across Northern Nigeria, a statement by the Founder and CEO of MPS Media and Initiator of the MPS Media Poetry Challenge, Professor Ahmed Adamu said.
The Kaduna State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, joins other distinguished sponsors and partners supporting the North-West zonal stages, demonstrating a shared commitment to investing in young people, creativity and the cultural and creative economy of the region.
Through this partnership, Kaduna will serve as the meeting point for talented young poets from the North-West, providing them with a platform to express their voices, stories and perspectives through poetry.
The partnership will also position Kaduna as a leading centre for youth creativity and cultural excellence, while providing positive visibility for the State through television broadcasts, digital platforms, press coverage and other publicity campaigns associated with the competition.
Professor Adamu expressed appreciation to the Kaduna State Government and all sponsors and partners for supporting the vision.
The North-West Zonal Stages will take place in Kaduna from 12–18 September 2026.
