Nigerian minister hosts Korean diplomat ahead of Seoul meeting

The Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu has received in audience, the Chargé d’Affaires, a.i of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Nigeria, Mr Tak Namgung. This is coming ahead of the Korea-Africa Foreign Ministers Meeting scheduled to take place in Seoul, South Korea, a statement by the ministry’s spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa said.

“The High-level gathering will host ministers and representatives from 54 African countries to build on the momentum of the Inaugural Korea- Africa Summit,” the statement said.

Key focus areas for the meeting include Critical Minerals & Supply Chains – Strengthening cooperation in energy, critical minerals, and logistics in response to global geopolitical risks, as well as economic & Strategic Partnerships, expanding trade, green transition, and digital innovation following up on the 2024 summit objectives.
